Why is it that I have purchased so many Japanese (Asia sourced) audio components that are "perfect" out of the box? By perfect I mean no scratches, dust or fingerpints. The fingerprints are my biggest pet peave because they often cannot be removed.
A few heating cycles and they are baked on forever. What's the story? I'll gladly provide tight fitting light cotton gloves to any manufacturer who will actually use them. Or go to a medical supply store and buy a 50 pack for $12.99.
