Adjusting the "right" system that "you" like the best in your unique room is an art form.Exactly.
Another way of putting it is that it's subjective. All the way back to the making of the instruments. Yet in spite of that long chain of subjectivity all along the way, "hi-fi" demands that it come to a grinding halt as soon as the record or CD has been pressed.
I prefer to continue down the subjective path and "hi-fi" has always seemed a bit too "conformist" for me.
