Have hearing damage one was in diesel sub back in the day he worked in the engine room his hearing is toast above 5khz I wont out him;) Another owns a local audioshop he had good hearing but lost most of it a few years ago in a airgun accident.He was into very hi-end air rifles one was recharged by a scuba tank, he discharge all this air pressure inchs from his head.Both still enjoy music and have very nice systems my bud who was in the navy can still tell when something is of quality the other cant.So chances are with 1 ear you should be ok I would still keep the stereo not go mono for others probly listen to your rig.Good luck!!
