That being said, there does have to be value added for the design and test work done by the manufacturer. You can't always amortize this into the cost of the product due to the competitive nature of the market you have targeted.While this might apply to high-end components to a certain extent, it shouldn't be that big a factor for a "power bar". I was always curious about the Van Alstine equipment, but have never had the opportunity to audition any of their gear.
