I believe that refurbished are the best values in the marketplace. They are usually customer returns of new products that have a problem sonically or physically. The item is checked 100%, rebuilt to 'as new' standards and repackaged. Sometimes, to save money, new packaging is not included.
Buying a refurbished item is purchasing a product with 100% Quality Control, which is sadly atypical these days. These usually carry a new warranty status. A great value for hard earned dollars.
