I have a source component with RCA outs. My BAT preamp only takes XLR inputs. Which do you think is the better option?1. Use a regular cable out of the source component, with RCA-to-XLR adapter to connect into the preamp
OR
2. Use an RCA-to-XLR adapter right out of the source component, with a balanced cable to connect into the preamp
I may or may not use a long cable (like 2M) from the source into the preamp, depending on how I move things around the room. I have extra pairs of regular and balanced cables (same brand/type), so the cost difference between regular vs balanced cable is not an issue. The RCA output jacks on the component are wide enough that I can fit adapters on there.
Thanks!!
