Since you're not specific about your budget it's hard to help.
You say you want to use your speakers and sub, and that your source
is an iPod. The Outlaw RetroReceiver could be a good start. It has,

For a third of that price (and space savings if you sell off your
other speakers), you really might want to consider the Swan M-200
self-powered speakers to hook up to your laptop. They are really
very good, and on sale for under $200 at newegg.comThere are five pairs (open box) on eBay at $165:
