When a new model comes out it gets alot of attention. Two or three years later it is not even mentioned. Now say you create your masterpiece amp, the best you can do. Now a couple years later you have to come up with a new model. You really have no real improvements but you change a few things, change the cosmetics and announce your new product. It gets attention and many people will feel it must be an improvement. Yet the old model is superior. The guy that owns the old model keeps it and buys the new model. He will be the only one that will really hear the difference as he can compare one to another and he knows the old model intimately.
