at least not that I have seen. I maintained that measurements would have to be significantly different than "usual" for it to sound better than everything else I had heard to that point and since. Which meant that it would deviate from a number of speakers that "look very good" on the measured results.This has nothing to do whatsoever with Audio Note. I know they are not perfect -- perfection (beauty) is largely in the eye of the beholder. I knew that because I have already seen measured responses of the speaker in a German Magazine a year before.
No! AN was purchased for my listenig pleasure and for the reproduction of music in a satisfying manner that didn't make me want to throw most of my music collection in the trash giving me an earache after 35 mintes of play. The system was and will continued to be purchased for the love of music.
This is going to be a good year off but I want to build a system 2 when I get back -- I was planning one anyway with home theater but that is less intersting to me and this would be cheaper, probably. So why not listen to something that people not necessarily associated with the music listening would come up with. A supremely accurate in measured results stereo. This is more of a self gratifying experiment to determine where the notion that A is more accurate than B or to the very notion of the term used in the audiophile vernacular and what if anything it means. Peter Qvortrup seeks Accuracy through precision that the most accurate will be found via the system showing the most differences. But this is still based on subjective listening and agreement -- and so the only way that can work is the individual listener spending the time.
The other approach is that through the numbers -- the most accurate system can be attained. This is the system that I bet can be built for sane money. And then I shall get what their "ideal" is all about.
