Re: You are certainly a curious little chap aren’t you …………

Well the problem is we enter into a semantic point of people continuously arging over the accuracy of stereo systems (and I only want to find what is accurate to the disc - not some other definition).

Presumably for anyone to be able to judge what accuracy is and what is more or less "accurate" as self proclaimed objective posters do then they must have an ultimatley accurate system no?

I don't care what the sound is like because I have already heard some of the speakers in this thread being listed as accurate and I am not particularly partial to their sound. That is why I said I do not care in the least what it sounds like. I have been given a list so far of a panel and active monitors which are not going to sound remotely alike. I have been given a research paper which seems to indicate that neither of those two would suffice.

SO far it seems not too many people are on the same page as to what true accuracy is all about. So the arguments are merely subjective interpetrations (on reading the measurements or evaluating the sound) on what is accurate. The former is useless without a prestine povable example and the latter is what every listener can do for themselves without any need of any information other than his or her ears.

Still perhaps I shall read it here soon.
