Why be disingenuous?

Are your feeling hurt because S'Phile found some anomalies with the A.N.s? FWIW, I've told you on more than one occasion that that mag (as well as the others) report the negatives, AS WELL AS the positives. You have stated in the past that Stereophile gives everything a "rave" review... well, they ARE usually positive, but let's face it, it's usually above-average gear, but none without cavaets. Unless you feel the Audio Notes are perfect, you have some 'splaining to do, Lucy.

Jimmy thinks you don't read S'Phile too often...

Have you read the article by now? I'd be willing to bet you have. Their problems with the $12K A.N.s had nothing to do with "accuracy"... not sure why you dragged that out. There might be some beaming at the top of the woofer, there might be some audible, unwanted wood vibrating to blur the music, and big deal, sensitivity along with bass extension claims might have been a bit exaggerated.

The overall "gist" of the write-up was very positive... a very musical, satisfying speaker. Have you forgotten how to "read between the lines"? Those were your exact words on the de Capo review when S'Phile reviewed that... ahhh - but you didn't own THEM didja?

Despite the stated flaws, you were able to look beyond. Why not this time?

BTW, I can't wait to hear the A.N.s. I'm sure they are very good, I have a lot of great memories of the Snells, hopefully these are a much better version.

Don't be angry...
