I too tend not to sell any of my gear. Unfortunately, however, I don't have lots of space to spare so the habbit may be coming to an end soon.It is a good way of knowing that you are heading in the right direction when you upgrade. If you can pull out something you bought 20 years ago and it's better than what you are using now - then there's a problem. I'm glad to say that I have only experienced this with CD players when finding that a worse sounding CD player is actually a better transport when used with a DAC.
