An unknown dealer in Toulouse France. I was visiting, and after walking around all day on a Saturday thought I would peak my head in. In my very fractired French, I said that I was an audiophile visiting from the US... They set me in front of an exceptionally fine system, gave me a stack of CDs to listen to, and let me listen away. A very pleaqsant experience, especially since I think they understood that this was not a potential sale.
Analog Room in San Jose treated me with similar courtesy, and wins the prize for the best system I ever heard in a dealer showroom (Audio Research electronics, Dunlavy 5s, Aries turntable). I add GNP since I got my first excellent system there, and much good advice, although I haven't been there for many years.
Finally, Galen Carol is just a fine human being, and always a pleaure - my dealings have been by phone and e-mail, and he always is willing to spend time. If I am interested in buying something he sells, he is my first choice.
