Before we get carried away with this notion...

The comment about convolution was by tuckers in a thread discussing results obtained with my demonstration copy. I sent a CD and $5 to Mr. Louis in response to his offer. He sent the original CD and copy back. The copy sounded slightly brighter on my Wadia 861 and a friend's Forsell transport. I sent the two discs to tuckers, who heard similar slight differences and performed the bit comparison.

He found massive differences in the data, and his comment about convolution was speculation on his part.

He returned the discs to me and I made a further listening comparison with the polarity inversion switch on the Wadia's remote control. I believe the massive data differences are a result of polarity inversion between the original and the copy. The copy sounds identical to the original on my system when played with inverted polarity. Mr. Louis did mention in another thread that his machine was able to invert polarity. He may well be correct that the data are unchanged, and may have simply made a setup mistake when making the demonstration copy for me. All this was over a year ago, I believe, and I don't know if the process and machine he used then are the same as what he is selling now.

Please note that my results are only meaningful for my equipment. I have no reason to doubt the RealityCheck process helps the performance of other CD players and transports. I've found similar behavior with the Bedini Ultra-Clarifier: it does little or nothing when the discs are played on my Wadia, but it makes a difference on the same discs played on Theta equipment.
