Ya know, Klaus, if you keep asking intelligent, thoughtful questions like this one, they'll never let you into the cable forum!

You're absolutely correct on two counts. First, although there is a demonstrated resonance that can be created in the cable being tested, there is no capability of generating an RF resonance of that frequency from an audio source. Second, it is juuuuussst a little outside the range of human hearing.

It reminded me of an ad I read for a cable brand that escapes me at the moment. It said that the cable eliminated "skin effect", which is the well know phenomena were the transmission of electrons moves from the whole cross-sectional area of a conductor outwards as the frequency increases, until finally the majority of the current is being carried only on the outer surface of the wire. Of course, as any ham radio operator who dabbles in UHF knows, this only occurs at frequencies well north of about 100 MHz. That one fact was conveniently left out of the cable ad.

Certainly made for entertaining reading, though!
