Is it Carol Cable brand? I thought that was the brand mentioned in the TAS review (I only heard about it, didn't read the review). There is an orange extension cord with black stripe at my HD, but not Carol Cable brand. Anyway, I'm willing to buy a cord and make some wires to play with just for fun. BTW - I think they have a special roll where you get 25 extra feet for free. Do you know how they terminated the wires. By that I mean, what wire goes to what? Extension cord having three three conductors throws me for a loop, especially since I have to bi-wire! Still, I'll give a shot just because. If nothing else, I'll make an extension cord out of what is left over!Me, I'm not worried about my cable world being turned upside down! Worst that could happen is that my inexpensive (in the realm of audio things) Mapleshade wires would get retired. Cables are a screwy thing for me. I could go on about my experiences, but will just say that so far speaker cables have proved to be more different than interconnects. Sometimes I hear a difference, sometimes I don't. Also, I may hear a difference but am not sure if it is better or not!
