I would ask the seller what the serial number of the vehicle was. (If you just mention quirks in the vehicle, a criminal seller will simply alter or remove them, if it is the vehicle.) If the serial number matches your mother's car (or if the seller refuses to submit the serial number), I'd notify both eBay and police in the seller's area, if stated. If the area is not known, I'd maybe get detectives to track down the seller. (I'd do this only because someone is about to get shafted in buying the car. I would not be able to sleep at night if I knew criminal activity was going on and did not do anything about it.)If you do *not* know or have the serial number, I'd let it go. Just because it looks like your mother's car does not mean it is your mother's car.
