Your explaination makes sense. I think I'm gonna go home and read more about room / speaker interaction & start playing again with speaker positioning. I only know to get the speakers out in the open as much as practical to achieve a good soundstage & image. Perhaps I'll lose some of it, but balance is the name of the game..I hope other will be helped by the discussion here...
