I agree. I have actually removed some of the binding posts and female RCA jacks on some of my components and soldered my silver IC and speaker wires directly to the component wires (especially on components that I plan to keep long term). It really make more sense then spending $100 on a single RCA terminal (especially when you end up plugging it into a $2 female RCA jack). The only problem with this is that once you are inside your expensive components and start looking at all the cheap parts and wire, it is hard to stop tweaking and get back to listening to music.
