I could point out that it's actually 140 pages plus a 6-page
advertising supplement, but that doesn't change the argument.
Fact is that it's hard times for magazines of many kinds since
the dot-com bust made people feel poor. Stereophile is no
more immune to the winds of macro economic change than any
other magazine, and the summer months are also traditionally
the smallest issues of the year. But we will try harder to fill
our pages with good stuff worth reading.
