may be the key. If the decompression is indeed lossless, assembling the data in the system memory, rather than reconstituting it from an optical drive (hard drive) may be significant - lower jitter, timing anomalies etc.? Combine this with a usb NONOS DAC and *now* you're talking!Big J.
