take a look at the "technology" link on the page belowit reads the audio up to 82 times before it decides what to stuff into the wav file.
Playing data off a computer file system is a rather different affair, and none of the issues that EAC addresses are relevant anymore.
The only thing that remains is to convert digital to analog, and that can be done in an external DAC just like with any other CD player.
