I don't think that we have an "accepted" definition of "absolute accuracy," - but I hear and agree with what you say.I too have about 10 HDCD and enjoy a few of them very much. They sound great, - but that's about all I can say. Unfortunately, - I don't have any redbook of the same CD to do a direct comparison to.
I am also thinking of moving to the Opus 21.
