Good points. I do have an iPad sitting around so I could use it with BlueOS controller to select songs with along with a Node 2i (output to my DAC) if that would work. Otherwise a different hardware box with a hand-held remote for browsing audio library on USB drive.
Budget is not a factor. Currently using a Thinkpad with Foobar2000.
