RE: Explain IIS interface

Yes, I read up on the II2 interface and it is actually a very simple design. I looks up on eBay and they sell 'mini-cards' that will convert II2 to either toslink or coaxial or both (usually coaxial overrides toslink).

So, that got me to thinking that I would like a little dongle that will give me an alternate toslink and coaxial and I notice that the mini-cards would need a 5v line, so I am wondering whether the D90 that I have puts a 5v on the HDMI connector?

Anyway, this is still moot because I would actually want a finished product of a dongle in a little case maybe with a short length of HDMI cable and at a reasonable price < $30.

All moot, so another DAC and an empty preamp input and another cable, but the idea was nice :-)
