Seeing as it recently had some work done, it could be as simple as a connector jarred loose internally.

Unplugged, and cover off, follow the internal cables from both the coax and AES/EBU jacks back to where they plug into the PCB board.

Ensure they are pushed all the way in and have not come loose.
