MD said to use one of my 3 prong cords to make sure it works (it does) & to get back with them & they would take care of the power cord. (They owe me a remote also.) I did tell them, when I called this AM, that if "this side up" is critical, the CD player was packed upside down.

Jonesy, thanks so much for the downloads! The guy from MD sounded surprised that the start up guide was not enclosed, but said that I should download the users manual. Thanks again--you know more about my gear than I do!
