I bought a Marantz CDP 6005 several years ago and since then I've found its performance excellent...out of the box it sounded better than any reasonably piced unit I had ever heard and with the proper amount of break in time you will find the sound will improve even more....I would recommend you find a dealer that carries the brand and allows in home auditions...I think you will be glad you did...btw, my unit is run through a Line Magnetic SET integrated into Joseph Audio speakers and the sound in more than enjoyable...
