No sound from CD player

I do have a Cambridge Audio CD5 and I was just getting ready for some dinner music, but no sound coming from the CD.

Tried some different cables and source and it is definitely the CD player.

Wondering if there could be a mute relay that is not 'opening'.
Any idea where I should look first?
