DCS may not be 'cheap'...
6-bit hybrids that have carefully-written algorithms can sound wonderful. It just seems strange that a (new) group of top-rated processors use an old-fashioned approach.
Beyond conversion, there's a lot of hype these days of 'Quad DSD'. If I understand the speeds correctly, this is slow (256fs) compared what many were doing 12 years ago, when 768fs came out.
Just another point questioning the technical advance of today's processors.
