The "AES/EBU" digital input is flexible and tolerant, so that with an appropriate cable or adapter, you may connect a RCA, ie : "S/PDIF", digital output from a digital source, and it may work fine.
Or not at all.


However, the "S/PDIF" connection to "AES/EBU" digital input may be less qualitative than expected. While working fine at first sight, you may experience some audible imperfections at the dac's outputs. These imperfections are related to the source and dac's electronics, the cable lenght and impedance, and the adapter.


So it is up to you to try and decide how much effort is worth the result
