PS Audio DL3 with Y adaptor on digital input

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I would like to connect both a dvd and ld player to the coax digital input on a PS Audio DL3 d/a converter by using a Y adaptor. The optical input is already being used. Only 1 player will be powered up at a time. Are there any sonic downsides to this arrangement? Thanks. Ed
