Help with AK4495S DAC decoder finished board The apple remote wont pair.

When I hold down the appropriate buttons for 5 seconds it starts to oscillate the readout until you stop pressing but the remote doesn't work after. I was so sure this would work I put major effort boxing it up nice and no go. The dac works ok just not the remote. Has anyone tried this board and got the remote working. btw my Chinese pcm1702 board sounds better. I would try hack the op amp out for tubes if I could get the remote working. very disappointing..
