I use an OPPO DV-983 DVD player as a CD player in my other stereo setup (small living room system) and it's fine for background listening. I've also used an OPPO BDP-103D (which I use with a HT projector) as a CD player and it was also good but I prefer my Rega Apollo as a player. However, when comparing the two as transports feeding SPDIF into a DAC, which is what you're doing, there was little/no difference.

I don't have any SACD discs so can't say much other than I've noticed that the OPPO players seem to be very popular for SACD playback.

I recommend getting the Darbee edition of OPPO's players (BDP-103D/105D) for home theater. The difference in overall image quality is striking.
