In my review of the Simaudio Moon 100D, we found the Tos-Link input to be merely mediocre. Using the same source(s), the Tos-Link input just isn't as resolving as the coaxial S/PDIF input.
Now that I am reviewing, among others, Simaudio's 750D, we have found its Tos-Link input to be excellent, honestly revealing what you feed it.
The affordable Lifatec Silflex glass Tos-Link cable is excellent, besting [i.e., being more accurate] many coaxial cables. If you go over to Cable Asylum, you can find more info on this product.
Hint: the Simaudio Moon 100D is a lot of fun, when used with "old" CD transports from the likes of Audio Alchemy and California Audio Labs.
