If you reckon the price per hour of music, it's high, but not far out of line with the general pricing of hi-res downloads. There are many hours of music here, and doing a remaster involves many hours of expert labor that will have to be amortized over the unit sales. One is looking at a minimum of four hours labor for every hour of music, and on a project that may involve sifting through many alternate source tapes the multiple can easily become much larger.
I have bought a few 96/24 downloads of other remasters from this source from HDtracks at their usual price for 96/24 downloads ($18 per CD length album). I will wait for suitable release of the Solti Ring as I see no need for the clutter of yet another set of coasters of these performances.
