Especially for a 50+ year old recording. Decca has recouped its initial investment a million times over by now. I suppose Decca needs the money: Wagnerians will buy any remastering of this recording at any price, and I can't imagine Decca is making much money off of the supermodels who are promoted as being the next Pavarotti one month and then suffer a career-ending vocal crisis the next.
