I have found that ANYTHING on the USB bus will compromise the sound aside from the DAC. It is not a Schiit thing, but a USB thing.
Having said that - I have found that Audioquest Carbon for USB is great. Audioquest Colombia works a treat as well. I know - more than the DAC, etc. but that's what I use
