RE: Does a good output stage add much cost to a DAC?

You obviously understand very little I'm afraid:O( Kinda like PC's vs MAC's....you can put the latest chip in a plastic box connected to crap parts made from around the world and spec it out to be a winner:O) But the truth is it's still a crap PC. Apple uses all purpose made parts and OS's with tight tolerances and they work...all the time, not just when they feel like it! No virus's either:O) CDP's are the same deal....you need quality everything to get a great sounding player...the chip means nothing otherwise.
