Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: It's physics

I think the superiority of digital is also audible. I'm a vinyl enthusiast and I have been all my life, but I also like to copy vinyl. I used to use reel-to-reel and cassette, but I graduated to DAT in 1991. The first thing I noticed about digital copies of vinyl was that they sounded much more like the original vinyl than any other recording format. To my ears, a high-resolution digital copy of a vinyl record sounds exactly like the record itself. Consequently, I believe that digital is exceedingly accurate.

The irony of this discussion is that TBone also uses digital recordings of vinyl to evaluate differences in turntables and cartridges.

Best regards,
John Elison
