Hi,

Maybe. It would depend on the player.
Most so-called "Tube CD Players" are juts generic CD-Players, with all the usual solid state stuff, op-amp's and so on going on and a tube buffer gratuitously stuck at the end to make it a "Tube CD Player". Especially the raft of Chinese designed ones that appeared in the recent decade or so are of this cynical kind.
My recommendation if you want a sound from CD that can compete with Vinyl would be to follow the path I outlined in my DIY Mod Article at ETM:
Modifying A Marantz CD-80 CD Player
The stuff discussed there can be applied to any CD-Player that has a TDA1541(A). Also modify the system to bypass the SAA7220 Digital filter.
The result will be a CD-Player that does not as such sound "like LP" but instead offers a sound quality from CD that seems to combine the strength of CD with a sound that friendly to analogue listeners...

At 20 bits, you are on the verge of dynamic range covering fly-farts-at-20-feet to intolerable pain. Really, what more could we need?
