Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

why?

>>The answer is... good digital can sound better than vinyl.<<

Certainly, I have a superb digital player that not only justifies that scenario, it's also made certain SACD players sound ordinary by comparison. Mastering quality is often the key, but ...

However, on my end, it makes no sense continuing this debate with someone who shills his own digital player as superior to any vinyl system (utter nonsense), and who obviously doesn't fully comprehend the advantages/disadvantages of vinyl playback (or digital playback for that matter), who thinks that noise and dynamic constraint are inherited vinyl drawbacks ... well ... a waste of my time.

Therefore, you can proceed with claims like "I've owned a hi-end turntable" or "agree to disagree" routines, but it's more than obvious that your position is, at best, based on nothing more than a true lack of experience with real (not hearsay) high-end analog.
