" Attending THE Show in Irvine Ca , about a month ago , I did not hear any digital sources that made me think about upgrading to " .
Todd , that may be true , but at shows the equipment is often new and hasn't had proper runin time , not to mention system synergy and room problems . Iv'e hear the Stereophile crew say many times that they don't put to much stock in what they hear at shows , show sound can be notoriously bad .
Iv'e owned four mid fi ( $3000 to $7000 ) players in the past fifteen years or so and each one was a considerable improvement over it's predecessor . The lessoning of digital edge or glare is most apparent . The three DAC's iv'e coupled to these spinners show big improvements in many area's too .
Lucky dog being close enough to attend such shows .
