If so, you have indeed violated your own published code of conduct. You should be ashamed.
As to your "associate" who wrote the shootout - if he indeed has a beef with the manufacturer of one of the players he reviewed, it most definitely appears that he chose a very sleazy way to get back at that manufacturer. He should be ashamed. And you allowed him the venue through which to do it. That makes you complicit, which tends to support the opinion that you are a slimy, hypocritical weasel.
This is a sad situation. You should apologize to any and all wronged parties, and immediately withdraw the "shootout" from your website. If you leave it on there, you deserve to be sued into bankruptcy.
