RE: "We sent him a new player, and he returned us a used player"......

<< a brand new player that Israel Blume sold in less than 2 weeks? This is even more professional evaluation of a brand new player that is not even broken-in. >>

It could have been much less than two weeks. It is possible that Blume bought the player at a discount as a favor for his "brother-in-law" and never even listened to it. Or maybe he listened to it for one day and decided he didn't like it. Or maybe he listened to it for two weeks. I have no idea. (His "brother-in-law" loved the way it sounded, though!)

But that's the problem when you are dealing with a proven liar. You can't trust anything they say.

But you are absolutely right. Salvatore's claim that "Every player was adequately broken in and in top operating condition" is obviously also a lie. It takes at least 2 weeks of *continuous* play for the C-5xe (and probably most other players also) to get even half-way broken in. I personally wouldn't attempt to make a serious judgment on something unless it had been playing for at least a month.
