Myryad Cameo cdp 450$ to fix ?

A store owner friend of mine got this unit that fell on the floor, the customer got a new one and my friend wants to give me the broken one for free, Nothing inside looks torn or broken but the player does'nt work, (it's not the fuse or laser derailed).
The dealer gave me an offer of 450$ to repair - for starters.
Does this player worth it ?
