Re: I use a 1k resistor loaded pot

Not really, a log pot can work but sometimes a very small movement can jump the volume too high, these are Stepped Attenuators with 24 steps with a fixed resistor each step, that way you can adjust the volume perfectly step by step and match between the 2 amps so balance will be right, with no jumps in volume.

Maybe in an easier set-up or once you know the values needed for your setup you can use a log pot, I wouldnt adventure into that just yet, and resistor loaded stepped attenuators sound much better!
