Hi Group: `First just want to say as a newcomer to the wiles and ways of upper grade hi fi I have learned so much from this group, far more than would be possible from reading any publication. Your prescence here, without any question, is on of the main supports for the continuance of hi grade audio. Thanks from all like me. A small question please: a friend has advised me that he has discovered his new CD player is only producing mono. Dumb question I know but how is this possible.? Has the chip that multiplexes the signal or divides it failed? Seems that would cause other problems more obvious. Any advice or explanation of this would be greatly appreciated. Thx catman
