I really rate the Capitole and up to the point of taking a punt purchasing the Attraction, the Capitole along with the Audio Note 3.1 and a Metronome cdp were machines I could easily have lived with. The main difference comparing the Altmann with the Capitole and the others is what I refered to previously which is the organicness/natural tonality and rythm and pace of the Altmann, that for me is where it scores in comparison to the other big guns I have heard.

I also suspect the Altmann is less system match dependant than the others because of it's strengths.

For me the Altmann is a plug in and play and no longer worry piece of gear and a bargain to boot.
