Altmann Attraction DAC practicalities

With the help of some friendly forum guys, I am now considering going down the Altmann Attraction DAC route. Actually I am in a quite late stage and there are just a few things to check-out before the final order.

Pardon my silly question, but how do you dust it? I can't imagine what would be worse, going with a big hoover or with a cloth over it? I live in a bit noisy & polluted street. With the summer coming, there will be more dust and dirt inside - my audio rack is right next to the window and can't be put anywhere else. Any thoughts?

Second and more important, a home safety. I have pets at home. Three cats, very sweet and joyful but not with the best manners - if there's a trouble possibility in the room, they will use the best out it:).

I am a bit scared they may sit or walk on the battery and short + and - poles. Would this fry them ? Any other danger during re-charging? Open wires?

I am also wondering if a battery can be somehow cased? I can do this quite easily (I suppose) but is there any sonic theory should this be avoided or it's OK.

Another issue of safety is an open PCB. I guess I can hide a bit an open PCB but I am also wondering (first) how sensitive it is to damage (second) is there a dangerous voltage exposed? After all the horrors I've seen during the years with them (warming up on valves, a real DJ-scratch performance on the decks etc) I wouldn't be surprised to see a cat with its back firmly into TD1543.

Cheers G.
